Old beyond her years, Lucy Ibbetson, the youngest member of Dance2Learn, came on board as Assistant Director in 2012 and has immersed herself within the charity, adding her own flair.
Lucy has been dancing since she was knee high to a grasshopper (although height is still not on her side). After finishing her 'A Levels' with flying colours, she went on to become an arts worker for 'Reach Inclusive Arts' where she is still working, teaching performing arts to people with physical disabilites and learning difficulties.
Lucy has spent a number of years involved with CLOGS Musical Theatre, a Chippenham based amateur operatic group, in which she is on the committee as Membership Secretary. In 2012, Lucy was successful in securing a grant from Wiltshire County Council which enabled the organisation to run summer workshops for children aged 5-18.
Later that year, she was thrilled to be presented with an award for her voluntary work within the community.
Among Lucy's many stage appearances, her most memorable have been performing at Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End, Les Miserables in Warminster and The Full Monty. Her principal roles have included 'Liesl' in The Sound of Music, 'Lily St Regis' in Annie and 'Louise' in Carousel.
Lucy's love of jazz and contemporary dance led her to the fateful day on her 19th birthday when she was drawn into the world of Salsa and has never looked back!
