Silvia Giulia Maria Bernadetta Cavaciuti is of Italian descent (you don't say, Sherlock!).
Born in Wiltshire on a Tuesday, prompting Rhodesia to proclaim independence from Britain nine days later.
She developed a strong wanderlust and sated her curiosity of other cultures and traditions by leaving Blighty for foreign parts on her eighteenth birthday on a three month fact-finding mission.
She returned to the UK eleven years later to raise a family after living in Spain, Italy, France and Greece with a new-found respect for the "old country", fluent Greek and a smattering of French & Italian.
Silvia started dancing back in 2002 to get her figure back after child number three as an alternative to leg-warmers and iron-pumping. She has put this experience to work with Dance2Learn after what she refers to as "a life changing visit" to Africa in 2007.
Not only a vibrant and responsive partner, Silvia is also a competent lead dancer, allowing her to see and rectify problems from both sides of the gender gap. This is especially useful when it comes to the more nervous lady learners.
When not trying to juggle a home, three children and as many dogs, Silvia enjoys all dance forms, swimming, gardening and the sun on her face.
Apart from running a household, caring for her daughter, patting Danny and collecting the eggs from Edwina, Sam & Ella, Silvia is currently working as a Psychology Practitioner.
