WakaWaka! Results after all the waiting! Gambian Press picks up on Dance2Learn again!

Phase one of the Bring Home the Light project in Gambia begins and the Gambian press show recognition (even if we have become "Dance Two Learn" :-) )!

"Thanks to Dance2Learn and Global Energy we have had WakaWaka lights donated that are already improving family life in communities where there is no electricity or they cannot afford to have electricity. Now they have light - hooray"

A busy but fun day! Two events, both a success!
Big thanks to Debs, Gwen, David and Alex for all their help and commitment!

Dance2Learn will be appearing at "Party in the Parc" at around 11.30 to kick the Party off!

Come along and enjoy a good old Summer Party on 18 July in Belle Vue Parc in Newport (opposite "The Gwent") fro 11am to 3pm

Later in the day, we'll be heading over to RHIWDERIN COMMUNITY CENTRE, PENTRE TAI ROAD, RHWIDERIN to round off their Summer Fundraiser to safeguard the woodland behind Ruperra Close/Church Crescent by helping us raise money to buy the woodland for the community!

Thanks to the hard work of Ms Beppie Smits & Mr Milko Berben of GLOBERGY, the WakaWakas have finally ended their long journey to The Gambia. *

Ms Jo Austin-Preece of The Gunjur Project took delivery today from Mr Buba Bah of Globergy.

The lights are in HIGH DEMAND now and we are working as fast as possible to instigate distribution to those deserving and most in need... Watch this space!

* and no, I haven't forgotten the hard work of everyone here at home... you already know how grateful we are... Now share the spoils! :-)
